A Port Neches woman died Thursday from injuries sustained in a traffic accident.
Beverly Evans, 79, died at 1:08 p.m. at Christus Hospital - St. Elizabeth in Beaumont, following her involvement in an accident earlier Wednesday morning.
According to Port Neches Police Chief Paul Lemoine, Evans was driving a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis on Goodwin Avenue near her home.
Investigations indicated at about 9:47 a.m. Evans pulled out in front of another driver while attempting to cross Nall Street.
She had a stop sign and the other driver did not, Lemoine said.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 2012 Ford van, sustained non-life threatening injuries, and was transported to Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth.
Lemoine said no charges have been filed, and none are expected.
Funeral services are pending aat Livingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.
