PORT ARTHUR —
An arrest warrant has been issued for a Port Arthur man in connection with the March shooting death of Marcus John “Big Country” Senegal.
The warrant for Keenan Novan Anderson, 20, was issued June 21, Port Arthur Police Sgt. Scott Gaspard said. Anderson remains at large at this time.
Senegal, 29, died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen following a disturbance outside Old School Shack, 901 Houston Ave., on March 30. A second shooting occurred at nearby Prince Hall Village Apartments shortly after and two people were injured, one critically. Another gunfight occurred several days later at the apartment complex and two more people were injured.
Senegal’s death was the first homicide in the city in 2013.
A double homicide occurred June 6 in the 2800 block of 59th St. which left Demario Polk, 24, and Carlos Deshawn Lowe, 23, dead. Demetrius Bernard Glenn, 20, of Port Arthur was later charged with capital murder in connection with the shootings.
