Groves Police calls, Oct. 2 through Oct. 8

GROVES — Groves Police responded to the following calls from Oct. 2 through Oct. 8



Wednesday, Oct. 2

• A 36-year-old male was arrested for assault in the 2900 block of Ruby.

• Copper wire was cut from the wall and ceiling of a house in the 3700 block of Stuart.

• A 22-year-old male was arrested for outstanding Port Arthur Police Department warrants in the 5200 block of Monroe.

• A 47-inch Samsung TV was stolen from an apartment in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.

• A counterfeit $100 bill was passed at a business in the 4500 block of Twin City Highway.

• The driver of a mini-van backed into a parked vehicle in the 5200 block of East Parkway and then left the scene.

• A criminal trespass warning notice was issued.



Thursday, Oct. 3

• A wallet containing cash and credit cards was stolen from the 6300 block of Warren.

• A gas meter was stolen from the 2300 block of Taft.

• An assault was reported in the 6100 block of 25th Street.



Friday, Oct. 4

• A disturbance was reported in the 5200 block of Lincoln.



Saturday, Oct. 5

• A person was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

• A 20-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication in the 5200 block of 34th Street.





Sunday, Oct. 6

• A 30-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the 3600 block of Canal.

• A 42-year-old woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 3900 block of Twin City Highway.

• A theft was reported in the 4500 block of Twin City Highway.

• A Pyle 7-inch CD player was stolen from a vehicle in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.

• Violation of a protective order was reported in the 6200 block of Warren.

• Unauthorized charges were made to a debit card account.

• A person was found to be in possession of certain substances, a city ordinance violation.



Monday, Oct. 7

• A disturbance was reported in the 3700 block of Kinard.

• A 50 year old male was arrested on Port Arthur Police Department warrants in the 6000 block of David.

• A 43-year-old female was arrested for public intoxication in the 6300 block of 32nd Street.

• Medication was stolen from the 6200 block of 39th Street.

• Yard ornaments and a Sago palm were stolen from the 3000 block of East Parkway.

• Unauthorized charges were made to a debit card account.



Tuesday, Oct. 8

• An assault was reported in the 2600 block of Main Avenue.

• A 35-year-old man was arrested on outstanding Nederland Police Department warrants in the 4000 block of Twin City Highway.
