Nederland Heritage Festival Treasure Hunt clues

NEDERLAND — NEDERLAND — Day 3 of Nederland Heritage Festival’s Treasure Hunt brings more clues tied to the city’s past.

The NHF hunt features a  $300 prize co-sponsored by Melancon’s Funeral Home and the festival. A knowledge of Nederland history could help hunters. The treasure is on public property and no digging, climbing or destruction is needed to find the certificate. Clues are set to run this week, or until the treasure is found. For festival information, visit or call the festival office at 724-2269.

Monday’s clue:

The treasure’s last hiding spot must be found.

This settler’s place had tulips all around.

Tuesday’s clue:

Only you can judge if it was worth the heap.
