LOS ANGELES — The last week has been a whirlwhind of activity for Kree Harrison. The 22-year-old country crooner returned to her native Woodville on Saturday, May 4, for a parade and rodeo held in her honor. The same night, thousands of fans packed Ford Park in Beaumont to watch Harrison perform at her homecoming concert.
Tonight, Harrison is back in Los Angeles, where she will sing her heart out to stay on "American Idol" for one more week.
Footage from Harrison's hometown visit and concert will air tonight on "Idol" at 7 p.m. Saturday's events proved she has a strong Southeast Texas contingency.
"I've felt the love from Woodville my whole life," Harrison said at a meet and greet with fans on May 4. "It’s amazing, actually being able to thank all of you for voting and keeping my confidence up.“
Harrison will need every vote to earn a Top 2 spot on "Idol." Viewers can vote one of four ways:
— Harrison will be assigned her own toll-free number during the performance show. To vote, simply watch "American Idol" on FOX tonight and dial the telephone number she is assigned.
— For AT&T wireless customers wishing to vote via text, Harrison will be assigned her own SMS/text message short code number during the performance show. AT&T wireless customers may text the word 'VOTE' to the 4 digit short code numbers promoted for Harrison.
— Viewers with a Facebook account can also vote online at www.AmericanIdol.com. For each performance show, viewers of "American Idol" will be able to reserve and assign up to 50 votes per Facebook account ID per performance show, spreading those votes across as many or as few contestants as desired prior to the opening of the vote window. Votes cannot be submitted (or counted) unless the vote window is open. Therefore, viewers should wait until the vote window officially opens to submit votes.
— Viewers with a compatible Android or iOS device (tablet or handheld) can vote via the "American Idol" app. Here is how:
(a) Download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Data rates may apply for app download and usage.
(b) Follow the voting instructions found within the app. Viewers will need to sign into a Facebook account. They will then be able to reserve and assign up to 50 votes per Facebook account ID per performance show, spreading those votes across as many or as few contestants as desired prior to the opening of the vote window. Votes cannot be submitted (or counted) unless the vote window is open, so viewers should wait until the vote window officially opens to submit votes.
The voting window will open for all methods at the end of each performance show. Viewers will have at least 2 hours to cast their votes. Online and "American Idol" app voting combined is limited to 50 votes per Facebook account ID, per performance show, and closes two hours after the Hawaii broadcast.
