Charge upgraded to murder on fugitive wanted in S. China Road murder

Update: Monday, April 14, 2014, 10:00 am:

 

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s has received a warrant on Cody Jamar Lewis upgrading the charge to Murder of Kevin Moyer. The warrant was signed by Judge Beaulieu. A warrant had previously been issued on Cody Lewis for the charge of Tampering with Physical evidence in reference to the incident with Mr. Moyer.

The victim of the murder on South China Road has been positively identified by the medical examiner via dental records as follows:

 Name: Kevin Alton Moyer

Age: 53 years of age

Hometown: Dallas, Texas

The Jefferson County Warrant Division is continuing to search for Cody Jamar Lewis, age 27, as the third person involved in the murder of Mr. Moyer.

 

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests and is looking for a third suspect in the discovery of a W/M’s body on S. China Rd on Saturday, April 5, 2014.  The suspects in custody are as follows:

Name: Arthur Christopher Harmon

Age: 21

Hometown: Beaumont, TX

Charge: Murder

Bond: $1,000,000

Name: Yiannis Nikolaos Mihail

Age: 31

Hometown: Beaumont, TX

Charge: Murder

Bond: $1,000,000 

 

Wanted Individual:

Name: Cody Jamar Lewis

Age: 27

Hometown: Beaumont, TX

Charge: Tampering with Physical Evidence

                      

 

The Sheriff’s Office is awaiting confirmation of dental records in order to positively identify the victim, which should take place over the next several days. The investigation is on-going.

 

Mr. Lewis should be considered armed and dangerous. No attempt should be made to detain him. Anyone with information on his location should contact Crime Stoppers at 833-8477. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the location and arrest of Mr. Lewis or any other wanted fugitive.
