Two arrested, 3rd sought in connection with body

— The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests and is looking for a third suspect in the discovery of a man’s body on South China Road on Saturday.

The suspects in custody are Arthur Christopher Harmon, 21, of Beaumont, and Yiannis Nikolaos Mihail, 31, of Beaumont. They have both been charged with murder and bond set at $1 million on each.

Cody Jamar Lewis, 27, of Beaumont is wanted on a charge of tampering with physical evidence.

Deputies say Lewis should be considered armed and dangerous. No attempt should be made to detain him. Anyone with information on his location should contact Crime Stoppers at 833-8477. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the location and arrest of Lewis or any other wanted fugitive.

The Sheriff’s Office is awaiting confirmation of dental records in order to positively identify the victim, which should take place over the next several days. The investigation is on-going.

The deceased is an adult white male, who was nude, and located in the rear seat of a tan Volkswagen Jetta. He was wrapped in a sheet.
