Galveston Sheriff’s release suspect drawing

PORT BOLIVAR — Galveston Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in the double homicide of two Houston women whose bodies were found near a garbage bin on Bolivar Peninsula on Friday.

The sheriff’s office released a composite drawing of the suspect who is described as a black male of average build, 5-foot 11-inches to 6-feet in height in his late 20s to early 30’s, according to a press release from the office of Galveston Sheriff Henry Trochesset.

The suspect was last seen with the victims in their vehicle.

The women, identified as Britney Cosby and Crystal Jackson, both 24 years old from Houston, were discovered shortly after 7:45 a.m. March 7 in the 700 block of Texas 87 in Port Bolivar. Detectives believe the two victims were killed elsewhere and their bodies were left where they were discovered.

Authorities are looking for the victims’ vehicle, a silver 2006 Kia Sorento SUV with grey trim.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office TIPLINE at 866-248-8477 or Galveston County Crime Stoppers at 409-763-8477.
