PORT ARTHUR —
Port Arthur city leaders and law enforcement met Tuesday morning at the intersection of two public housing complexes and vowed to crackdown on gun violence.
Port Arthur Mayor Deloris “Bobbie” Prince, Police Chief Mark Blanton, Precinct 8 Constable Eddie Collins, Jefferson County Sheriff Mitch Woods, the Rev. Donald Frank and Precinct 2 Constable Christopher Bates spoke to media about the recent gun violence in the city and assured citizens that law enforcement is working hard to curb the violence.
The group was joined by City Manager Floyd Johnson, councilmembers Harold Doucet and Kerry Thomas and Justice of the Peace Marc DeRouen.
