Construction of an around the clock emergency center is currently underway in Port Arthur.
Golden Triangle Emergency Center, 7685 Memorial Blvd., is scheduled to open its doors in July, Kerry LaGrone, general partner with PA69, LP, said. The GTEC will be approximately 11,000 square feet and feature a state of the art emergency room. The rest of the building will be leased out for other medical field related business.
“We appreciate all of the City of Port Arthur staff and council efforts to help us bring jobs and new retail to the city,” LaGrone said.
LaGrone is also managing general partner at LSI General Contractors and has worked with the city’s economic development corporation to bring other businesses to the area.
The Golden Triangle Emergency Center will feature “24 hour emergency medical service, evaluation by board certified physicians within minutes of admission, luxurious waiting room and other accommodations, and full services of a standard emergency department” as well as other services, according to their website.
“We are also working on several other projects that will bring great things to Port Arthur,” he said.
