PORT ARTHUR — Port Arthur Police responded to the following calls from July 22 through July 29



Monday, July 22

• A person was assaulted and robbed of $15 in cash and a movie ticket by four individuals at Dickinson Theater, 3100 FM 365.

• Criminal mischief was reported at Happy Donuts, 3629 Twin City Hwy.

• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Willow Lake Apartments, 2555 95th St.

• A Kawasaki dirt bike was stolen from the 3300 block of Woodrow Drive.

• Various power tools were stolen from the 3700 block of Drexel Avenue. The incident occurred sometime between July 18 and July 22.

• A home in the 3600 block of 10th Street was burglarized.

• Theft was reported at Target, 3100 FM 365. The incident occurred between May 17 and July 22.

• A juvenile threw a rock and broke the glass on an ATM machine at Orange Savings Bank, 8535 Central Mall Drive.

• Burglary of a habitation and family violence were reported in the 4800 block of Aspen Lane.

• A person was arrested for the theft of a pair of Nike tennis shoes, retail value of $99.99, from Academy Sports and outdoors, 8453 Memorial Blvd.

• A purse was stolen from a vehicle at Max Bowl, 3500 Regional Drive.

• An iPhone and an iPad were stolen from a vehicle at Max Bowl, 3500 Regional Drive.

• Theft of metal was reported at Sabine Pass High School athletic field, 5400 S. 11th Ave.

• Several vehicles at Farnham Park Apartments, 3333 Turtle Creek Drive, were burglarized.

• A construction site building was burglarized in the 7400 block of Royal Meadows Circle.

• Felony theft of metal was reported at Gulf Copper North Yard/Seabulk Towing Inc., 7200 Texas 87 after someone stole a four-blade tugboat propeller.

• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Port Arthur Park Apartments, 1348 Jefferson Drive.



Tuesday, July 23

• An Abu Garcia fishing rod and reel was stolen from the bed of a truck at Walmart, 4999 Twin City Hwy.

• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Pebble Creek Apartments, 4141 Jimmy Johnson Blvd.

• Stalking was reported in the 4100 block of Jimmy Johnson Boulevard.

• A 19-inch Samsung flat screen TV was stolen from a home in the 2000 block of Woodrow Drive sometime between July 19 and July 23.

• Felony theft was reported at a construction site in the 4600 block of 60th Street.

• One bottle containing 30 hydrocodone pills was stolen from Cedar Ridge Apartments, 7601 Ninth Ave.

• A person was arrested for criminal trespass at Farnham Park Apartments, 3333 Jimmy Johnson Blvd.

• A Smith and Wesson .38 caliber revolver and Larson .380 caliber semi-automatic pistol were reported stolen from a home in the 3400 block of 15th Street. The incident occurred sometime between November 2012 and July 23, 2013 while the victim was away during a lengthy illness.

• A men’s 10-speed bicycle, lime green in color with the word “Next” on it, was stolen from Crystal Creek Apartments, 8109 Honeywood Trail.



Wednesday, July 24

• A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 1700 block of Texas 87. The suspect gave an intoxilizer result of .0 and also provided blood samples and was reportedly in possession of two lortab, two klonopin, one soma, two lorcet and 16 1/2 tablets of trazdone hydrochloride.

• A 9 mm Smith and Wesson semi-automatic gun was reported stolen from a vehicle sometime between June 18 and July 24.

• A vehicle reported stolen out of Houston was recovered in the 600 block of Charleston.

• A Frigidaire window unit, valued at $160, and a round metal electric smoker with an Indian on the side, valued at $60, were stolen from the 2100 block of Birch Street.

• Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was reported in the 3800 block of Normandy Avenue.

• Assault/family violence was reported in the 3100 block of 30th Street.

• A person was arrested for assault/family violence at Carver Terrace Apartments, 1134 Carver Terrace.

• A person was arrested for possession of marijuana, 0.0445 ounces, in a drug free zone at Lakeview Palms Apartments, 5200 Gulfway Drive.

• A Heil air conditioner unit, valued at $1,400, was stolen from The Shire Apartments, 4160 FM 365.

• A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 3000 block of Thomas Boulevard following a traffic accident.

• Burglary of a habitation was reported at Carver Terrace Apartments, 1134 Carver Terrace.

Thursday, July 25

• A 37-inch LG brand flat screen TV and a microwave oven were stolen from a residence at Rampart Apartments, 1602 Village East Boulevard.

• A gold men’s diamond ring, approximate value $1,000; MP3 player, approximate value $40; and an Ab Rocket exercise machine, approximate value $150, were stolen from a home in the 3800 block of Lake Arthur Drive.

• A home in the 2600 block of Lombardy Drive was burglarized.

• A bank card, iPhone 5, business cards and 413 in cash was stolen from a vehicle in the 6800 block of Fairway Court.

• Two tires were stolen from a vehicle at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 5848 Roosevelt Ave.

• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Southwood Crossing Apartments, 3901 Texas 73.

• An assault was reported in the 1100 block of 19th Street.

• A pack of cigarettes and $100 in cash was stolen from a room at Comfort Inn, 8040 Memorial Blvd.

• A Samsung Galaxy S3 cell phone was reported stolen from the 1100 block of Rosedale Avenue.

• Assault/family violence was reported in the 4700 block of 13th Street.

• A person attempted to steal several Polo shirts, wholesale value $521.33, from TJ Maxx, 3100 FM 365. Upon being discovered, the suspect dropped the items in the parking lot and fled in  a vehicle.

• Metal theft was reported in the 400 block of west 17th Street.

• Two iPod Touch devices were stolen from a vehicle in the 3500 block of Seventh Avenue.

• State jail felony criminal mischief was reported in the 6000 block of U.S. 69 after someone damaged four Master Locks, four hasps and scattered 3,000 pounds of horse feed.



Friday, July 26

• Gasoline was siphoned from a vehicle at Sherman Williams Paint, 2425 Jefferson Drive.

• Criminal mischief was reported after someone shot the window of a vehicle with a BB gun in the 3800 block of Touraine Avenue.

• A .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol was stolen from a vehicle in the 2600 block of 64th Street.

• A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated, third of more offense, in the 3300 block of 19th Street.

• Assault/family violence was reported in the 2800 block of 14th Street.

• A person was arrested for possession of marijuana, 0.14 grams, in the 6700 block of Ninth Avenue.

• Various machines and tools were stolen from a building in the 2600 block of 17th Street.

• A person reportedly stole 120 pounds of stainless steel, aluminum and copper from Port Iron, 300 W. Seventh St.

• Assault/family violence was reported in the 2300 block of Seventh Street.

• A Kurig K70 brewer, valued at $169, was stolen from Walmart, 4999 Twin City Hwy.

• A home in the 3000 block of Ninth Street was burglarized.

• A 32-inch Insignia LCD TV, approximate value $470, was stolen from Poole Avenue Apartments, 1401 Poole Ave.

• An assault was reported at Pioneer Park, 1800 Pioneer Drive.

• A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 6300 block of Jade Avenue.

• The attempted burglary of a building was reported in the 4100 block of Wentworth Drive.

• A robbery was reported at BJ’s Food Store, 1201 Seventh Street.

• A red Troy Bilt self-propelled lawnmower, valued at $259, and an orange Mongoose 20-inch bicycle, valued at $159, were stolen from the 3100 block of 26th Street.



Saturday, July 27

• The theft of approximately 50-feet of copper welding leads was reported in the 200 block of Seventh Street.

• A Trailex brand trailer, valued at $1,500; Hotsy model belt-driven pressure washer with Honda engine and high pressure hose, valued at $3,200; 500 gallons of diesel fuel, valued at $2,000; four padlocks, valued at $30; three packs of printing paper, valued at $15; a case of welder’s strikers, valued at $70; four cases of Nestle water, valued at $20; four Dewalt grinders, valued at $250 each; and two 80-foot long welding leads, valued at $800 each, were stolen from a secured yard at Strike Construction LLC, 6851 W. Port Arthur Road.

• Theft was reported after a woman left her purse in a shopping basket at Walmart, 4999 Twin City Hwy. She drove home then noticed her purse was missing, according to the police report.

• An assault was reported at Club Swagga, 427 Procter St.

• A pellet rifle was stolen from the 2000 bloc of Seventh Street.

• Assault/family violence was reported at Driftwood Inn, 3700 Memorial Blvd.

• Assault/family violence was reported in the 900 block of Atlanta Avenue.

• A Sony stereo system, valued at $300 and a Pioneer stereo system, valued at $200 were stolen from a home in the 700 block of Chicago Avenue between July 19 and July 27.

• A Shell gas card and $40 were stolen from a vehicle at Comfort Inn Suites, 7800 Memorial Blvd.

• An Apple iPhone 5 was stolen from the 3700 block of Procter Street.

• A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 3400 block of FM 365.

• Assault/family violence was reported in the 3900 block of Fifth Street.

• A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 3100 block of Jimmy Johnson Boulevard.



• Sunday, July 28

• A gray Craftsman edger and a red Craftsman weed eater were stolen from the 3800 block of 31st Street.

• A lawnmower and a trimmer were stolen from a building in the 3700 block of 27th Street.

• A person was arrested for the theft of a Polo shirt, Polo vest and Polo pants at Dillard’s, 3100 FM 365.

• Aggravated sexual assault was reported in the 2700 block of Eighth Street.

• Assault/family violence was reported in the 3600 block of Seventh Street.

• A home in the 1400 block of Houston Avenue was burglarized.

• Retaliation was reported in the 3800 block of Lakeshore Drive.

• State jail felony criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported outside Academy Sports and Outdoors, 8453 Memorial Blvd.

• Terroristic threat/family violence was reported in the 4000 block of Jean Avenue.

• Aggravated robbery was reported in the 500 block of 12th Avenue. The victim was reportedly robbed of a wallet and black tactical boots.



Monday, July 29

• Indecency with a child was reported when a man exposed himself to some children in the 6100 block of Ray Avenue.

• Assault/family violence was reported in the 700 block of Roosevelt Avenue.

• A person was arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the 3000 block of Thomas Boulevard.

• Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported in the 2800 block of 90th Street.

• A home in the 500 block of 14th Street was burglarized.

• A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 1800 block of Fourth Avenue.

• A person was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, crack cocaine, in the 4100 block of Gulfway Drive.
