Groves Police calls, May 21 through May 27

GROVES — Groves Police responded to the following calls from May 21 through May 27



Wednesday, May 21

• A GPS, brown leather jacket and a phone charger were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 2200 block of Berry.

• A 2010 silver Jeep Liberty was burglarized in the 2200 block of Berry.

• A disturbance was reported in the 3200 block of Woodlawn.

• A 26-year-old male was arrested for outstanding Port Arthur warrants in the area of North Link and West Jefferson after a call of a suspicious person.

• A 32-inch black LED TV valued at more than $200 was stolen from a business in the 5100 block of East Parkway.

• A 47-year-old male was arrested for an outstanding parole warrant in the 5000 block of Bay Street after a disturbance call of an unwanted person

• A 26-year-old male was arrested for outstanding Port Arthur warrants in the 3200 block of Twin City Highway after an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.



Thursday, May 22

• A wallet valued at $30 was stolen from the 3400 block of Twin City Highway.



Friday, May 23

• A 35-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident in the 6000 block of Jackson.

• A 29-year-old female was arrested on outstanding warrants after a traffic stop in the 3900 block of Twin City Highway.

• The driver of a silver colored Dodge truck backed into a vehicle and then left the scene in the 4600 block of Twin City Highway.

• A criminal trespass warning notice was issued in the 5100 block of East Parkway.



Saturday, May 24

• A 31-year-old male was arrested for fail to identify and possession of a controlled substance in the 3900 block of Main.

• A 43-year-old female was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 6500 block of Hogaboom.

• A disturbance was reported in the 7000 block of Howe.

• An unknown vehicle struck the front of a house in the 6800 block of Howe and then left the scene.

• Jewelry, a Kindle Fire tablet and a blue IPhone were stolen from the 5200 block of 34th Street.



Sunday, May 25

• A 22-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 3400 block of East Parkway.

• A wallet was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 2800 block of Berry.

• A wallet and head phones were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 3100 block of Boyd.

• An assault was reported in the 2700 block of Cooley.

• A 26-year-old female was arrested on outstanding warrants after officers were called to a disturbance in the 5500 block of East Parkway.



Monday, May 26

• A 42-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 3500 block of Main Avenue.

• A 34-year-old female was arrested on outstanding warrants after officers were called to a disturbance in the 5100 block of East Parkway.

• A disturbance was reported in the 5500 block of West Washington.

• Burglary of a vehicle was reported in the 2200 block of Berry.

• An assault was reported in the 3100 block of Allison.

• A vehicle caused damage to a yard in the 6300 block of Verde.

• A disturbance was reported in the 6500 block of Madison.



Tuesday, May 27

• A green 2000 Ford Ranger truck was stolen  from the 2700 block of Second Avenue and was recovered in Port Arthur.

• A 34-year-old male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 6700 block of Gulfway Drive.

• Unauthorized charges were made to a debit card account.

• A diaper bag and cash were stolen from a vehicle in the 2600 block of Fourth Avenue.

• A disturbance was reported in the 6700 block of 25th Street.
