GROVES — The missing person Jasper Shields has been safely located. It was discovered that a family member picked him up on Sunday and took him to Louisiana, according to a press release from Groves Police Department.
Groves Police searching for missing senior citizen
The Groves Police Department is currently seeing the public's assistance in locating 76-year-old resident, Jasper Shields.
On Sunday, June 30, at about 9:15 p.m., 76-year-old Jasper Shields walked out of the Oak Grove Nursing Home, located in the 6200 block of Warren in Groves.
Investigators and family members are following up on leads and have searched the surrounding area.
The police department considers Shields at risk due to the fact that he suffers from various medical conditions that require daily medications.
Shields is described as about 6-foot 2-inches tall , 215 pounds, with salt and pepper hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be wearing a blue polo shirt and blue wind pants.
There is no foul play suspected at this time.
The Groves police department requests anyone with information on Mr. Shields or his whereabouts to immediately call 911 or 962-0244.
