Nederland Police calls, Sept. 16 through Sept. 22

NEDERLAND —  Nederland Police responded to the following calls from Sept. 16 through Sept. 22                                                   

Monday, Sept. 16

• A dog at large was reported in the 700 block of North 23rd Street.

• Burglary of a vehicle was reported in the 2100 block of Avenue A.

• Fraud was reported in the 3100 block of Memphis.

• Fraud was reported in the 1300 block of U.S. 69.

• Criminal mischief was reported in the 1500 block of South U.S. 69.

Tuesday, Sept. 17

• Theft was reported in the 1900 block of Avenue H.

• Assault was reported in the 2600 block of Helena.

• Theft was reported in the 300 block of South Sixth Street.

• A person was into custody on a mental commitment in the 100 block of Nederland Avenue.

Wednesday, Sept. 18

• A dog at large was reported in the 3400 block of Omaha.

• Theft of a bicycle was reported in the 1000 block of North 30th Street.  

• Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported in the 100 block of South Memorial.

• A person was taken into custody on another agency’s warrant in the 1000 block of Nederland Avenue.

Thursday, Sept. 19

• Assault/family violence was reported in the 700 block of South Eighth Street.

• A person was taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault/family with deadly weapon in the 1400 block of  North 12th Street.

• Possession of a firearm by a felon was reported in the 1400 block of North 12th Street.

Friday, Sept. 20

• A runaway was reported in the 400 block of North Sixth Street. The runaway was later located.

• Credit card abuse was reported in the 400 block of North Sixth Street.

• A suspicious death was reported in the 2900 block of Avenue G.  

• Burglary of a vehicle was reported in the 1700 block of Avenue J.

• Credit card or debit card abuse was reported in the 1400 block of South 35th Street.

• Sexual assault child was reported in the 2000 block of Avenue G.

• Theft was reported in the 1000 block of Nederland Avenue.
