Beaumont Police have released the names of Thursday’s three homicide victims.
The men were Macgarrett Jack, a 28, of Beaumont, Preston Wilson, 62, of Beaumont, and Joshua Ceasar, a 29, of Beaumont, according to a press release from Beaumont Police Department.
Justice of the Peace Ransom Jones ordered autopsies on all three victims.
Detectives completed their interview of a man they considered a person of interest. He voluntarily went to the police station to speak with detectives and is no longer considered a person of interest.
Detectives are continuing to identify, locate, and interview potential witnesses in this capital murder investigation, BPD Sgt. Rob Flores Jr. said in the press release. Officers have been working non-stop since Thursday evening and believe they are getting closer to providing answers for the families of all victims.
“Our community is outraged by this act of violence and we are receiving several tips daily. If you have any information, we ask that you also contact Crime Stopper at 833-TIPS. You will not be asked for your name and Detectives will investigate all tips. If your tip helps us identify the suspects, you will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.”
Police were called to the reported shooting at about 9:27 p.m. Thursday, June 27, outside a house in the 1000 block of Prairie.
When officers arrived, they found five gunshot victims. Three men were dead at the scene and two suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Witnesses who were not injured reported that several men were playing dominos outside the residence when several other men confronted them. During the confrontation, several shots were fired.
There have been 10 homicides in Beaumont this year. Last year at this time there were 11 homicides, according to a spokesman with the department.
