The Day 4 Golden Pecan has been found but there’s still the grand prize to search for.
Bill Raymo found the Day 4 pecan at the bottom of a reflector pole in the grass on the side of Hogaboom Road, according to the Groves Chamber of Commerce.
Clues will be published in The News and on The News’ website starting Monday for the annual event with four daily prizes of $50 and one grand prize of $400. Clues can also be viewed on the Texas Pecan Festival’s Facebook site after midnight.
Levingston Funeral Home will sponsor the Texas Pecan Festival treasure hunt prize money. The festival begins Thursday at Lion’s Park. For festival information, call the Groves Chamber of Commerce at 962-3631.
