BRIDGE CITY — Bridge City schools are now releasing students early to their parents, Superintendent Mike King said.
Bus routes will run at the usual time.
The disrict made the decision at 11 a.m. because the schools are experiencing a power outage associated with severe weather earlier Thursday morning, King said.
At least one neighborhood, around Arthur Street off of FM 408, sustained damage from what is believed to be a tornado.
King said no damage was sustained to schools, but students did shelter in place when during the tornado watch.
