The Greater Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at the city of Port Arthur-Southeast Texas Regional Planning Commission Disaster Recovery Housing Office at 3300 Memorial Blvd.

PORT NECHES     — DuPont Goodrich Federal Credit Union will host the Port Neches Chamber of Commerce’s Monthly Coffee at 8 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at the credit union.

Nederland High School graduate Time Fouse is coming home to Nederland with the vocal band Home Free out of Minneapolis, Minn., for a performance at 7 p.m. Friday, April 12, at the Nederland High School Performing Arts Center, 2101 18th St, Nederland. Tickets are $5, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the choral music programs at Nederland and Port Neches high schools.  The show will also feature Ned & Company and the Indian Singers which are comprised of students from the respective schools.

The high school graduating class of 1963 is celebrating its 50th year class reunion this weekend, April 12, 13, & 14.  It will be held at the Holiday Inn Park Central, with a social Friday evening, a social and dance on Saturday night, and a Brunch on Sunday morning.

The Relay For Life Scholarship Pageant will be held Saturday, April 13, at the Groves Elementary Auditorium.  Contestants will arrive at 1 p.m. with the pageant beginning at 2 p.m.  Admission to the pageant will be $5.

The Gulf Coast Area Sertoma Club will present its annual Style Show “Fashions with a Twist” at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the United Methodist Temple, 4101 Texas 73 in Port Arthur.  The show will begin at and will feature fashions by Beall’s. Cost of the tickets is $20 and will include a meal consisting of chicken fettucine, salad, dessert, and tea.

NEDERLAND — Doornbos Park will be transformed into a venue for fine arts, crafts, music, dance and fun during Art in the Park.

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the park, 2301 Avenue H. The fun includes live music from Diverson & Knotch, Painting with the Twist, Museum of the Gulf Coast, Mexican Heritage Society performances, kids activities and crafts. “The Buried Life” will appear as the keynote for the Spring 2013 Distinguished Lecture Series at Lamar State College-Port Arthur at 7 p.m. Monday, April 15, in the Carl Parker Center, 1800 Lakeshore Drive in Port Arthur. The event is free to attend and open to the general public.
