Groves Police calls, March 19 through March 25

GROVES — Groves Police responded to the following calls from March 19 through March 25

Wednesday, March 19

• A vehicle was struck by an 18 wheeler that left the scene in the 5000 block of Twin City Highway.

• A 32-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants after officers responded to a disturbance call in the 3200 block of Hickory.

• A 42-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 3400 block of Pure Atlantic Highway.

• A 35-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated and possession of a dangerous drug in the 3200 block of Taft.

• A 19-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 3100 block of Allison.

• An assault was reported in the 4800 block of Twin City Highway.

• Information was received about a missing person, who was later located.

Thursday, March 20

• A criminal trespass warning notice was issued to a person at a business in the 2600 block of Main.

• A dog at large complaint was made in the 3400 block of Lay Avenue.

• The driver of a purple truck was seen striking several trash cans, damaging them, in the 6100 block of Warren.

Friday, March 21

• A 33-year-old male was arrested for assault in the 6200 block of 25th Street.

• A duffle bag containing miscellaneous tools, cologne, a Chicago wireless drill, flashlight and chargers were stolen from a vehicle in the 5100 block of East Parkway.

• A 51-year-old female was arrested for outstanding Nederland Police Department warrants after a traffic stop in the 6400 block of 39th Street.

• An assault was reported in the 4500 block of Twin City Highway.

• A 29-year-old female was arrested on outstanding Port Arthur Police Department warrants in the 6200 block of Gulfway Drive.

Saturday, March 22

• A 36-year old male was arrested for assault in the 2800 block of Oleander.

• A cell phone and lottery tickets were stolen from a vehicle in the 6800 block of 25th Street.
