PORT ARTHUR —
A 20-year-old Port Arthur man wanted by police on a murder warrant turned himself over to police Wednesday afternoon.
Keenan Novon Anderson was indicted on June 20 for the March 30 shooting death of Marcus John “Big Country” Senegal, 29, of Port Arthur. After the arrest warrant was issued officers conducted a multi-state man hunt that ended when Anderson turned himself in to police at approximately 4:45 p.m. Aug. 7, according to a press release from Port Arthur Police Department.
Anderson was brought the Jefferson County Correctional Facility where he was incarcerated for the murder warrant and bond was set at $200,000.
Senegal died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen following a disturbance outside Old School Shack, 901 Houston Ave., on March 30. A second shooting occurred at nearby Prince Hall Village Apartments in the 900 block of West 14th Street shortly after and two people were injured, one critically. Another gunfight occurred several days later at the apartment complex and two more people were injured.
