The identity of a murder victim whose nude body was found wrapped in a sheet in a car last week had been identified as Kevin Alton Moyer, 53, of Dallas.
The Jefferson County Warrant Division is continuing to search for Cody Jamar Lewis, 27, of Beaumont who is considered as the third person involved in the murder of Moyer.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office made two arrests in the case on Monday, April 7. The suspects in custody are Arthur Christopher Harmon, 21, of Beaumont, and Yiannis Nikolaos Mihail, 31, of Beaumont. They have both been charged with murder and bond set at $1 million on each.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office dispatch received the call of an unknown medical call on South China Road, east of FM 365 at about 10:29 a.m. April 5. Emergency personnel realized the individual was deceased and the investigation was turned over to deputies, according to a press release from Deputy Rod Carroll.
The deceased is an adult white male, who was nude, and located in the rear seat of a tan Volkswagen Jetta. He was wrapped in a sheet.
Deputies say Lewis should be considered armed and dangerous. No attempt should be made to detain him. Anyone with information on his location should contact Crime Stoppers at 833-8477. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the location and arrest of Lewis or any other wanted fugitive.
