Entities taking a wait and see approach for Gustav By David BallThe Port Arthur News The last ship left port Friday and no others will be allowed in without permission from the Coast Guard.
Chief Mark Underhill of the U.S. Coast Guard said their routine plans are in place. “We’ve been preparing waterways and notifying mariners and getting Coast Guard personnel out of harm’s way and back as soon as possible to take care of the community,” he said.
