MAURICEVILLE — The body of a man who was found around 6 p.m. Thursday at a Mauriceville residence has been identified as 39-year-old Clary Clifton Chesson.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies and first responders from the Mauriceville Voluntary Fire Department were called to the home on Gilbert Road after Chesson was found to be unresponsive.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Orange County Precinct 1 Judge Joe Parkhurst.
Parkhurst is conducting an inquest into Chesson’s death and has ordered an autopsy.
“No foul play is suspected,” said Orange County Sheriff’s Capt. Tommy Smith via telephone interview Friday. “The case is still being investigated.”
