The Port Arthur Police Department discovered a 26-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his upper body after responding to an aggravated assault in the 2600 Block of Sixth St. at 1:10 a.m. Friday, March 28.
Officers located a crime scene but the suspect had fled the scene. The victim, because of his condition, was unable to provide much information. He is in stable condition at a local hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
At 7:03 p.m. Thursday, March 27, members of the Port Arthur Police Narcotics, SWAT, SCU, Groves Police Department, Port Neches Police Department and FBI Safe Streets TF executed a search warrant of the discovery of cocaine to end a two-week investigation.
PAPD Narcotic investigators conducted surveillance over the past two weeks at 934 Austin Ave., as residents were suspected of dealing crack cocaine. Probable cause was developed and a search warrant was obtained. Jefferson County Justice of the Peace Robert Morgan signed the warrant.
A search revealed 5.96 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale. Officers also discovered marijuana and Xanax pills. Two arrests were made for possession of cocaine. The weight of the cocaine made the offense a second degree felony.
Jacelyne Patrick, 23, and Delvin Jackson, 35, were charged with cocaine possession and transported to the Jefferson County Jail. Both suspects face up to 20 years of imprisonment and a possible fine not to exceed $10,000.
