We need a new post office. We do not like going all the way to the Boondocks to get our mail.
Remodel the Civic Center and forget the hotel. We need this done.
Now, Port Arthur is so dirty, trash is everywhere. Somebody is not doing their job. We pay $15 a month and it is forever before we have trash picked up.
Behind Griffing Plaza Shopping Center, across from T.J. parking lot and Jefferson Drive, is a drive through with trash everywhere. I called and they told me they would pick up all the trash. They have not. It is against the law to throw out trash, play loud music at night, keep old cars on property that do not run. You need to enforce your laws. Please see if you can start doing better.
When you call one of those offices in downtown Port Arthur, no one hardly is there and some will not call you back.
Attention, this contract trash pickup, they are leaving limbs, etc., in the ditches of Port Arthur. Since Rita, the ditches are filled with trash. You need to drive around, Mayor Ortiz, and see what is going on.
I happen to like Port Arthur and want everyone to try to keep it clean.
