The second annual Relay For Life Pageant was held Saturday, April 1, 2006, at the Groves First Baptist Church Family Life Center. Forty-nine young ladies competed for the title of Little Miss, Duchess, Junior Miss, Princess and Queen of the Mid and South County Relay For Life supporting the American Cancer Society. The Van Buren Buddies Relay For Life Team wants to thank everyone who supported this effort by their donations, attendance and also to the contestants who participated in the pageant. Over $4,300 was raised.
The winners received crowns, sashes and trophies. All participants received a trophy. The Queen also received a $500 scholarship given by Brammer, Begnaud and Lattimore, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants. All winners also received a membership to the Total You Fashion Board.
The Van Buren Buddies Relay For Life Team is grateful for the generous donations from Brammer, Begnaud and Lattimore, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants; the Courtyard; Karen Thesis; Amy Presley; LeBelle Maison; Air Solutions; Ace Hobby Shop; Landry Insurance; Martie Broussard; Total You Modeling Classes; Jiffy Trophy; High Tech Sign; Van Buren PTA and Paige Hervy of the Collection.
We would also like to thank Angela Ledford, Marcia Stevens and Tammi Lange for volunteering their time to perform the most difficult job of judging and Linda Guillory of the Total You Modeling Classes and the Agency for Emceeing.
