Idled refineries and their capacity

Below are some of the Gulf Coast refineries idled by the threat of Hurricane Gustav, their locations and their daily crude refining capacity. The region accounts for nearly half of U.S. refining capacity:
—Marathon Oil Corp., Garyville, La., 256,000 barrels.
—Valero Energy Corp., St. Charles, La., 250,000 barrels.
—ConocoPhillips, Belle Chasse, La., 247,000 barrels.
—ConocoPhillips, Lake Charles, La., 239,000 barrels.
—Exxon Mobil Corp., Chalmette, La., 193,000 barrels.
—Motiva Enterprises LLC, a partnership between Shell Oil Co. and Saudi Arabia’s national petroleum company, Norco, La., 220,000 barrels.
—Motiva, Convent, La., 235,000 barrels.
