October busy month at Groves senior center

GROVES — October is here! There are several things going on.

Oct. 14 Pat Cole with Senior Medicare Patrol will be with us from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 talk about medicare changes. The meal of the month will be on the 24th but we need to turn in the count by the 14th. Please call us at 963-1036.

Beaumont Nutrition is having a fundraiser selling BBQ pototes with Chip BBQ, butter, cheese, and sour cream. They are $8. Pre payment is perferred. If you order 10 or more they will deliver. Call the Groves Center to place your order at 963-1036 or Beaumont Nutrition at 722-7782.

The Groves Library is having a Book Sale Bonanza Oct. 23-26. The 23rd is for members only. The 24th thru the 26th is open to the public.

Our Halloween Party will be Oct. 31. We will have cake, punch and candy and the Altus Brothers will be here to sing. Everyone needs to get their costumes ready, we will have a contest for the best costumes.

The Groves Center is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. On Tuesday and Thursday we play bingo at 9:30 a.m. We offer Chair Exercises on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. The computer class will start October 12th. Daily we play dominoes cards and work a puzzle. If you would like to eat with us please call 963-1036 the day before by 11:30 a.m. Come join in the fun and fellowship.
