Groves Police calls, Oct. 16 through Oct. 22

GROVES — Groves Police responded to the following calls from Oct. 16 through Oct. 22

Wednesday, Oct. 16

• Fishing equipment was stolen from a boat parked in the 3700 block of Hayes.

• Theft was reported for electrical repairs that were paid for but the work was never started.

• A shoplifting was reported in the 5000 block of Twin City Highway.

• A white 2000 Silverado truck was stolen from the 5100 block of East Parkway.

• Fishing equipment was stolen from the 5500 block of Sonnier.

• Theft of services was reported in the 5000 block of Twin City Highway.

Thursday, Oct. 17

• A cell phone was stolen from the 2600 block of Twin City Highway.

• A 64-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 4600 block of Twin City Highway.

• Someone attempted to break into a vehicle parked in the 3400 block of Canal.

Friday, Oct. 18

• A CD player was stolen from a vehicle in the 2200 block of Owens.

• A criminal trespass warning notice was issued to a person in the 5000 block of 32nd Street.

Saturday, Oct. 19

• An 18-year-old female was arrested for outstanding Port Arthur Police Department warrants in the 2000 block of Vincent Drive.

• A traffic stop in the 5100 block of 25th Street revealed driver to be in possession of a controlled substance.

• A disturbance was reported in the 3800 block of Lincoln.

• A disturbance was reported in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.

• A 43-year-old male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the 5200 block of 25th Street.

• A 40-year-old male was arrested for outstanding Nederland Police Department warrants in the 6200 block of Dave.

• A 22-year-old male was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and a 40-year-old female was arrested for traffic violations in the 2600 block of Montrose.

• A 40-year-old female was arrested for a city ordinance violation in the 5200 block of 25th Street.

Sunday, Oct. 20

• Tools were stolen from a house in the 6600 block of Terrell.

• Two people were arrested for outstanding Port Arthur Police Department warrants in the 5000 block of Woodlawn.

• A 26-year-old female was arrested for Jefferson County and Port Arthur Police Department warrants in the 5000 block of 32nd Street.
