Groves Police calls, May 14 through May 20

GROVES — Groves Police responded to the following calls from May 14 through May 20

Wednesday, May 14

• Credit accounts were opened in the persons name without their consent.

• Unauthorized charges were made to a debit card account.

• Reckless driving was reported by a person who was attempting to repossess a vehicle in the 3300 block of Pure Atlantic Highway.

• A juvenile runaway was recovered in the 3200 block of Woodlawn.

• A mental commitment was served in the 3100 block of Taft.

• Unauthorized charges were made to a debit card account.

• An assault was reported in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.

Thursday, May 15

• A stolen vehicle was recovered in the 5000 block of Twin City Highway.

• A 57-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication in the 4700 block of Twin City Highway.

• A 28-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants after a traffic stop in the 5000 block of Twin City Highway.

• A vehicle door handle was broken in an attempt to enter the vehicle in the 6700 block of Jefferson.

Friday, May 16

• A 23-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 5000 block of Twin City Highway.

• A purse was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 3000 block of Oak.

• An assault was reported in the 5100 block of Twin City Highway.

• Gold and diamond jewelry were stolen from a residence in the 6400 block of Verde.

• Aggravated robbery was reported at a business in the 6100 block of Gulfway Drive. The victim reported that two black males entered the business and one of them produced a black automatic firearm and demanded money. The subjects kicked in an office door and stole cash and the victim’s cell phone before fleeing the scene.

• An assault was reported in the 6900 block of Terrell.

• Someone scratched the hood of a vehicle parked in the 3000 block of South Drive.

• A stolen check was forged and passed in the 5100 block of West Parkway.
