Book sale, raffle to benefit Groves Library

GROVES — The Friends of the Groves Public Library will host a book sale and a raffle from Oct. 23 through Oct. 26 to benefit Groves Public Library, 5600 West Washington.

The first day of the sale is open to members only during regular library hours. Memberships are available beginning at $5 for individual and $10 for family, $25 for special friend, $50 for best friend and $100 for community/corporate sponsor.

The sale is open to the public Thursday and Friday, Oct. 24 and Oct. 25 during regular library hours and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 26.

A large assortment of items will be sold including fiction and non-fiction books over a variety of topics as well as books on tape, DVD’s, CD’s and VHS.

There will also be a raffle of two baskets of chocolate and a Taste of Fall. One ticket will win it all.

The basket includes: 20 pounds of chocolate, fall table runner, picture frame, seasonal yard angel, passion cookbook, pumpkin decor, journals, cake stand, fall candy dish, note cards and note pads, vintage candle holder and candle, seasonal magazines, luxurious throw and the book The Apple Orchard by S. Wiggs.

Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Drawing will be Oct. 30.

Tickets are available at the circulation desk at the library or from a Friend of the Groves Public Library member.
