Lamarissimo! 2013-14 season tickets and gift certificates available

BEAUMONT — Season tickets and gift certificates for the upcoming 2013-14 season of the Lamarissimo! concert series are on sale in Lamar University’s Mary Morgan Moore Department of Music.

Now in its 24th season, Lamarissimo! showcases the talents of outstanding student artists in ensemble and solo performances. The season opens Tuesday, Nov. 5, with the Jazz Band performing selections from Duke Ellington’s A Night at the Cotton Club.

The season continues with the A Cappella Choir and Grand Chorus concert on Tuesday, Nov. 26, and the Wind Ensemble and Concert Band on Tuesday, March 4. The all-new Cardinal Jazz Singers bring the season to a rousing conclusion on Thursday, April 24.

All concerts start at 7:30 p.m. and will be in the Julie Rogers Theatre for the Performing Arts, 765 Pearl St.

Season tickets, priced at $45 for adults and $20 for students, include admission to all four concerts. Lamarissimo! gift certificates may be used for purchase of adult season tickets. Individual concert tickets, $18 for adults and $12 for students, will be available before each concert. Admission is free to students of Lamar University with a valid LU identification.
