A newly released documentary on Heath Ledger has just one major flaw, it fails to mention the late star will appear in Terry Gilliam's "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus,” to be released this Christmas.

Ledger was working on the film before his untimely death. “Doctor Parnassus” is a whimsical fantasy, where three actors complete Leger’s final acting role: Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell, all playing the character slightly transformed, according to the Seattle Times.

Despite the oversight, “Tribute to Heath Ledger: The Unauthorized Story is a well done DVD. It includes numerous interviews with his colleges as well as interviews with Ledger himself before his death at 28.

This is an awesome and enlightening tribute, if you can overlook the glaring flaw. Nevertheless, the documentary is a must for any true fan.

Phillips reprises John Wayne western with guts and glory

An injured gunfighter seeks redemption and pursues love in “Angel and the Badman,” starring Lou Diamond Phillips.

Infamous gunslinger Quirt Evans (Phillips) stumbles into town with a deadly wound while seeking the deed for property worth his weight in gold. He’s a rich man, if he can survive the injury and if love doesn’t kill him.

With a band a gunmen on his tail, Evans finds refuge with a family of Quakers. A widow, Temperance (Deborah Kara Unger, star of “88 Minutes,” “Silent Hill” and “White Noise”), mends Quirt’s wounds and he falls for her despite his notorious reputation for women and trouble.

They just don’t make movies like this anymore. It’s a film you can share with the entire family, and it still entertains. This is a remake of the 1947 John Wayne classic by the same name.

This low budget film will touch your heart, and leave you cheering. It’s well worth the price of admission.

The DVD also stars Luke Perry (“The Sandlot 3”, “Johnson County War,” TV’s “Beverly Hills, 90210”) and features John Wayne’s grandson, Brendan Wayne.
