Lauren Nichole Huckaby engaged to Benjamin Jacob Hopper The Port Arthur News Mr. and Mrs. Carl and Jeanine Huckaby of The Woodlands, Texas announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Nichole Huckaby to Benjamin Jacob Hopper, son of Mr. Kevin Hopper of Silsbee, Texas and Brigid Walls of Nederland, TX. Grandparents of the bride are Ed and Jenny Jones of Port Neches and Charles & Ruby Huckaby of Port Neches. The groom’s grandmother is Virginia Hopper of Shreveport, LA.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Nederland High School and is currently attending Sam Houston State University, pursuing a degree in History. She is employed as a Site Director at YMCA-After School Program. The groom is a 2003 graduate of Nederland High School and is serving as an Airborne Infantry Specialist with the U.S. Army. The couple plans to marry April 22, 2007 at Heather’s Glen in Conroe, Texas.
