PORT ARTHUR —
The news couldn’t have been better for coffee drinkers when they opened their paper last Thursday morning. That hot, black brew so many depend on to kick start the day has been found to be beneficial in more ways than just being an early morning pick-me-up.
A study that was a decade in the making and had input from more than 400,000 Americans found coffee drinkers are less likely to die from heart or respiratory disease, stroke, diabetes, injuries, accidents or infections. We wonder whether issues like national debt could be solved if Republican and Democratic leaders in Congress started every morning together with a cup of java.
Even if the secret to world peace isn’t contained in a hot steaming cup of brew, coffee still apparently has plenty of good points and is a great way to start the day.
