Busy, eventful summer awaits followers of Mixed Martial Arts David Estrada, Jr MMA column for Sunday, May 24 The Port Arthur NewsThe main event of UFC 101 will feature two fighters who don't hang their hat on boxing skills. Jiu-Jitsu versed fighters BJ Penn and Kenny Florian will battle it out for the UFC lightweight title. Kenny Florian easily took out Penn's protégé, Joe Lauzon, last year so Penn will be looking to avenge his pupil.
There are going to be other MMA events held this summer including Strikeforce and Affliction shows, UFC Fight Nights, and a multitude of Texas based events.
