TALK WITH THE MAYOR: Lighted holiday parade

— At 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, Procter Street will again become the center of holiday festivities.  It will be filled with lights, laughter, love, fun, fellowship, hundreds of stuffed animal give-a-ways and lots of candy. At the end of the parade, we will light our huge Christmas tree on the lawn of City Hall.  We invite you to come with  family and friends and share this special day with us.

Changes in viewing of City Council meetings

In an effort to better connect citizens to council meetings, our IT Department has made it possible for citizens to access (via the computer) council meetings at their leisure.

Per Ms. Underhill, Assistant City Manager of Administration, beginning with our Nov. 30, meeting, interested persons can go to our city's website at www.portarthur.net and CLICK on the "VIDEOS" icon.  You will then select the Council Meeting you wish to view.  You may view items that are on the agenda on an individual basis, or, view the meeting in its entirety.  When you access the meeting, you will have the option of selecting only those items of interest, by clicking on the specific section of the agenda.

We sincerely thank the IT Department for all of their hard work and their continued efforts to improve communication between the city and its citizens.

You will be blessed in all that you do if you do it to the Glory and Honor of God.

Deloris “Bobbie” Prince is mayor of Port Arthur.
