Josh Mitchell Lambert, a graduate of Nederland High School, has been awarded a scholarship by the Texas Interscholastic League Foundation.
He is the son of David and Robbie Richards.
Lambert received a Nelda C. and H.J. Lutcher Stark Foundation Scholarship in the amount of $15,200, payable $1,900 each semester for four years.
Lambert competed in calculator applications and placed fourth at the 2007 and first at the 2008 UIL Academic State Meets. Additionally, he finished third in mathematics and competed in number sense at the 2008 meet. He also participated in UIL computer science and basketball throughout his high school career.
He plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin and major in computer science and math.
