Motorist urged to use caution driving through dense fog

— Areas of fog across Jefferson and Orange Counties Wednesday morning may cut visibility down in some area to as low as a quarter mile, according to a press release from the National Weather Service.

The patchiness of this fog is also leading to greatly varying visibility over a short distance. Motorist are urged to use caution while driving into or through any dense fog. Slow down and allow for extra stopping distance. The fog is expected to burn off within an hour after sunrise.
