Brooke Erin Guidry became the bride of Clinton Todd Chambless on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 7:00 in the evening at St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland. Reverend Shane Baxter officiated at the double-ring ceremony, which was followed by dinner and dancing at the Brad Club. Music was provided by Rick Marcel and the Radiance Band, with Ben Phillips serving as DJ. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Esther’s Seafood.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kent M. Guidry of Orange and is a 1998 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School and a 2002 graduate of Lamar Institute of Technology where she earned an associates degree in radiology. Brooke is employed as a MRI technologist with The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
The bridegroom is the son of Ms. Debby Radcliff and Mr. and Mrs. Jaime J., Chambless all of Nederland and is a 1998 graduate of Nederland High School and graduated in 2001 from Lamar Institute of Technology. Clint holds an associates degree in process operating and is employed with BASF in Port Arthur.
Music was provided by members of the Houston String Quartet and Jeff Roy, Kirk Ellender, Cory McMains, and Taylor Bellow provided the vocals. Scripture readers were Jeslyn Roy and Kristen Bradshaw.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Lindsay Davis. Bridesmaids were Sheigh Summerlin, Staci Barnett, Kim McMains, Jill Guidry, Lindsey Mercer, Lene’ Smith, Marche’ Hearn, Miranda Ryan, and Lyndsi Chambless. Kennadi Bellow, Vicki Guidry, Hallie McMains, and Macie McMains were flower girls. Tristan May and Wilson Guidry served as ring bearers. House party members were Kristen Bradshaw, Jenny Faseler, Rachel Louviere, Jill Ross, Angie Stelly, and Megan Street.
Derek Chambless, the groom’s twin brother, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Aubrey Brisendine, Cory Haynes, Cory McMains, Drek M. Guidry, Todd Tolbert, Reid C. Guidry, Brett Wilson, Marc Fumuso, and Session Davis. Tim Farris and Bryon Herman seated the guests.
Following their honeymoon in the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Nederland.
Amy Rene’ Foulk became the bride of Rodney Craig Zampini Wednesday, July 25, 2006 in Riviera Maya, Mexico at the Aventura Spa Palace.
The Bride is the daughter of William and Belinda Foulk and the granddaughter of Robert and Dorothy Foulk, as well as Winfred and the late Pat Wright all of Port Neches, Texas.
The Groom is the son of Randy and Cindy Zampini and the grandson of the late Louis and Dorothy Zampini, as well as the late Harry and Elizabeth Heinen, all of Groves, Texas.
The Bride and Groom’s parents hosted a reception at the home of Jeff and Verlene Buchanan on July 29, 2006 at 7:00 in the evening. Pastor Ralph Foster blessed the marriage at 7:30 p.m. and dinner and dancing followed.
Amy is a 1998 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School and graduated from Lamar University. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies specializing in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. She is employed with NISD as a second grade teacher in San Antonio, Texas.
Rodney is a 1998 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School and graduated from the Electric Training Center Local 479 as a Journeyman Electrician. He is employed by Wolfgang Fey Electric in San Antonio, Texas. The couple will reside in San Antonio, Texas.
First Six Street Baptist Church was the setting for the Saturday afternoon ceremony, uniting Yolanda L. Shields and Willie O’neal Dankins Jr. Reverend Wayne Morris officiated.

Wayne and Myrtle Dowden of Nederland will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a private reception to be followed by a public concert from 6 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 5. and concert at First Baptist Church of Nederland, 1911 Nederland Ave. The celebration will be hosted by their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Myrtle Lee Nixon and Lairon Wayne Dowden were married on Aug. 4, 1956 in Port Arthur, Texas. Both are members of First Baptist Church of Nederland. Both were employed by Lamar University of Beaumont and both were owner operators of American Electric and United Electric.
Their Children are: Lairon (Larry) and Nena Dowden, Philip and Cheryl Dowden, Rene and Charles Jones and Lynn Rush and Kelly Sanderson.
Mr. and Mrs. William Jackson
William and Dorothy Jackson of Port Arthur celebrated their 60th anniversary on July 21, with friends and relatives.
William and Dorothy were married on July 21, 1936. Both were born and raised in Port Arthur. William retired from Gulf Oil Corp. with 37.5 years of service and Dorothy is a homemaker.
The couple has two children: Linda and Rick Condrey of Port Arthur and Gary and Lisa Jackson of Baytown.

The Rev. Mell and Mrs. Willow Mae Simon Williams celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. They were married on July 29, 1946 in Beaumont, Texas.
They have six children: Mell III and wife, Wanda of Winnie, Texas; Mona Hayes and husband, Donald of Port Arthur; Willow Bernard, Shirley Wells and husband, Joseph; Randy and wife, Glynis and Larry all of Beaumont; and they have fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. They have served as pastor and wife of New Light Baptist Church in Port Arthur, Texas for 45 years.
