Bolt-Sema
Dr. & Mrs. Allen Bolt of Abilene are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Bolt to Capt. Carlos Serna, both of Abilene. Carlos is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Marcos Serna of Port Arthur, Texas.
The prospective bride is a 1998 graduate of Hamlin High School. She graduated from Angelo State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Business Management. She is employed by Animal Health & Medical Center of Abilene.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1992 graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School in Port Arthur, Texas. He graduated in 1997 from the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science. He is currently a member of the 317th Operation Support Squadron at Dyess Air Force Base.
Carlos and Courtney will be married April 28, 2007 at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Esqueda-Guy
Mr. and Mrs. Atanacio Esqueda of Groves announce the engagement of their daughter, Cassie Leah Esqueda to Cody Lee Guy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Johnnie of Groves.

The prospective groom is a 2002 graduate of Port Neches Groves High School and graduated from Lamar University, he holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Marketing. He is employed by the Eads Company. The couple plans to marry at 6:30 p.m. on February 10, 2007 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Port Neches - Groves High School. She holds a license in Cosmetology and is currently employed at Tricia’s Hair Salon. The groom is a 2001 graduate of Port Neches - Groves High School and a 2005 graduate of Lamar State College. He holds an Associate’s degree in Management Development. He is employed by UPS.
The couple plans to marry at 6 p.m. on February 10, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church of Groves.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jones, Jr. of Port Arthur, TX announce the engagement of Lakia Jones to Ricky Nero, Jr., son of Ms. D’Juana Thibedeaux and Mr. Ricky Nero, Sr. of Port Arthur, TX.
Both the bride and groom are 2001 graduates of Lincoln High School. The bride holds a B.A. degree in Journalism from Texas Southern Univ. and is currently pursing her master of arts degree in Communications – Public Relations specialty at the Univ. of Houston. She currently works as an English instructor at the Pro-Vision School. The prospective groom is a sergeant in the U.S. Army of six years and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Marketing at Texas Southern Univ.
The couple plans to marry on July 28, 2007 at the Holiday Inn in Beaumont, TX.
ANNIVERSARIES
Mr. and Mrs. Jiles Lindsey
Jiles and Dottie Lindsey formerly of Groves will celebrate their 60th anniversary from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24, with an open house at 9183 HWY. 96 South. The celebration will be hosted by their children.
Dorothy Gaston and Jiles Lindsey were married on Dec. 24, 1946, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Their children are: Madeline McGallion of Houston, Melinda Stapleton of Jasper, Karen Hanson of Beaumont and Barbara Chauvin of Colmesneil. The couple also has 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Andrus Adams
Andrus and Una Adams will celebrate their 61st anniversary on Dec. 22.
Una Marie Vincent and Andrus Adams were married on Dec. 22, 1945, at a Catholic Church in Kaplan, La.
Their children are: Laura Jane Adams Soto of Pasadena, Kathy Adams of Port Acres and Theresa Adams Solis of Port Arthur.
