Celebrate50th Anniversary
Carolyn and Kenneth Walker of Port Arthur celebrated their 50th Anniversary on November 25 with a Mass at St. James Catholic Church and a Dinner Party at Esther’s Restaurant with their family.
Carolyn Vera and Kenneth Walker were married on November 9, 1956 at St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Kenneth retired from Chevron in 1992 with 34 years of service.
Their children are Bradley & Kim Walker, Keith & Cindy Walker, Kirk & Lorrie Walker, Belinda & Greg Roccaforte, Brett & Wendi Walker, and Troy & Lisa Walker. There grandchildren are Alec, Alyse, Mackenzie, Morgan, Madison, Marek, Megan, Corey, Sarah, Thomas, Zachary, Jennifer & Eric and one great grandson, Houston.
The Rev. and Mrs. Kelley Black
The Rev. Kelley and Jannie Black celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 11, with a family dinner at Papadeaux’s Restaurant, in Beaumont . The event was hosted by their children and grandchildren The Rev. Kelley and Jannie were married on Nov. 10, 1956, in Clarksville, Texas. The Rev. Black served 39 years in the Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. He retired while serving as the pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Port Arthur. Although Mrs. Black was homemaker and served with her husband in many churches.
Their children are: Valarie Black and Dr. LaWanda Finney. The couple also has four grandchildren.
