Mr. and Mrs. Ted Landry
Ted and Thelma Landry of Nederland recently will celebrate their 72nd anniversary on October, 10.
Thelma Matthews and Ted Landry were married on Oct. 10, 1934, in Crowley, Louisiana.
Thelma retired as a hair dresser and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars and Ted retired as a pipefitter/welder. He is also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Their children are: Teddy Landry of Bridge City, Barbara Landry of Irving, Danny Landry of Groves and the late Bobbie Landry. The couple also has 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Mitchell Champ
Dudley and Mildred Champ celebrated their 50th anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 30. A vow renewal ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Charles Atuah at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Arthur followed by a reception at St. John’s Catholic Hall. The celebration was hosted by their children and their spouses.
Mildred and Dudley Mitchell Champ were married on Sept. 29, 1956, in Carencro, La. Dudley retired from Quantum Chemical Local No. 195 with 22 years of service. Mildred is a homemaker. Dudley is an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Mildred is an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Their children are: Randy Mitchell Champ, Darlene Champ Joe, Dudley James Champ, Joseph Patrick Champ, Sharea Renee Champ. The couple also has 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
