Jerry and Loretta Thompson
Jerry and Loretta Thompson of Port Neches celebrated their 50th anniversary Thursday, Aug. 31, with a family dinner at Sanderson’s Restaurant in Nederland hosted by their family.
Loretta Rawlinson and Jerry Thompson were married Aug. 31, 1956, at First Methodist Church in Port Arthur. They are now members of First United Methodist Church in Port Neches. Jerry Thompson is retired from DuPont Works in Beaumont and volunteers at Community Care Prayer Outreach in Port Neches. Loretta Thompson works at Wal Mart in Mid-County.
They have three children, Lori Broussard of Groves, Julie Avery of Grand Blanc, Mich., and Christie Franklin of Port Neches; two granddaughters; and one grandson.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wilfred Trahan
Mirley and Thomas Wilfred Trahan of Warren, formerly of Port Neches, celebrated their 50th anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, with a reception at Dorothy’s Front Porch. The celebration was hosted by their nieces and nephews.
Mirley Thompson and Thomas Wilfred Trahan were married on Aug. 30, 1956, in Orange. Wilfred retired as an Area Engineer at the Texas Deptartment of Transportation. Mirley retired from Sears Credit and Audit Department.
Their nephews and nieces have always been a large part of their lives, as well as their their many pets.
Mr. and Mrs. Gene England
Gene and Rose England will celebrate their 65th anniversary on Thursday, Sept. 7, with a dinner at Larry’s in Groves. The event will be hosted by family and friends.
Gene retired from Texaco will 40 years of service and Rose is a homemaker.
Gene and Rose have two children: Darrell and Ronnie England. The couple also has two grandchildren.
