WEDDINGS
Yosko - Graham
Katherine Elise Yosko and Jaysun Brian Graham were united in marriage on July 29, 2006 at five o’clock in the evening at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Nederland, Texas. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Francis L. Schroeder and Lector was Director of Christian Education, Kristi Witek. Organist was Sandy Hebert. Vocals were provided by the Firetones Barbershop Quartet. A reception followed at the Elegante’ Hotel.
Katherine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Yosko of Groves, TX and the granddaughter of Katherine McDaniel of Port Arthur, and Mr. and Mrs. A. Ray Yosko of Woodville.
Jaysun is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Graham of Hamshire, TX. Serving as Maid of Honor was Helen Schroeder. Bridesmaids were Linzy Richard, Diana Adams, and Katrina Fountain. Junior Bridesmaid was Kennedy Kieschnick. Best Men were Gabriel Graham and William Larrain. Groomsmen were Micah Yosko, Trey Jackson, and Ryan Welch.
Ushers were Andy Bass, Bradley Jackson, and James Simmons. Lori Bass served in the House Party. Following a honeymoon to San Antonio the couple will make their home in Nederland.
Cobb-Mondello
Kaitlyn Cobb became the bride of James Mondello Saturday August 12 at 6 p.m. at Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Port Arthur, Texas in a double-ring ceremony with Dr. Clay Faulk officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Randall & Kelli Cobb of Port Neches, TX. The bridegroom is the son of Pete & Jane Mondello of Port Arthur, TX. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Courtney Cobb, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Connie Emerson, sister of the groom, Lindsay Lofton and Jamie Proenza. Tallie Cooper was the flower girl and Austin Emerson carried the rings. Readings were provided by Katherine Jones and Mary Ellis. Peter Mondello served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Ryan Cobb, brother of the bride, David Ellis and Jeremy Young. Ushers were Chris Hanna, Tim McCurley and Mat McCurley. The bride is a 2001 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School and graduated from Memorial Hermann Baptist School of Radiologic Technology. She is a Registered Technologist n Radiology and is employed by Dr. Paul Andreini. The groom is a 1997 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and attended Lamar Institute of Technology. He is employed by H.E.B.
Following their honeymoon on a cruise to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Groves, Texas.
Hanna - Lunceford
Megan Michelle Hanna and Aaron Edward Lunceford were united in marriage on Saturday, August 5, 2006, at six-thirty in the evening at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves. The ceremony was officiated by Monsignor Kenneth Gregg. The ceremony music was provided by vocalist Leah Addison, organist Patricia Parent Creed and guitarist Mike Foster.
The bride is the daughter of Leslie and Becky Hanna of Groves and granddaughter of Vivian Boudreaux and the late Lee Robert Boudreaux of Port Neches and James and Idelia Hanna of Groves. The groom is the son of Mark and Regina Lunceford of Groves and the grandson of Henry and Sylvelyn Losack of Bryan, Texas, and Angus and Sandra Lunceford of Groves. Attending the bride as Maid of Honor was Holly Hanna. Bridesmaids were Kristin Myers, Katrina Wright, Tara Wiggins and Traci Smith. Flower girl was Bailey Crorey and miniature bride was Shannon Lunceford. Serving as the groom’s Best Man was Cory Lunceford. Groomsmen were Greg Lunceford, Ryan Melancon, Travis Staudt and Matt Johnson. Ring bearer was Tyler Smith. Ushers were Ramsey Smith, Oran Sonnier, Jimbob Murphy, Ken Hecker and Daniel Lamance.
Following a honeymoon trip the couple will reside in Groves.
Huckabay-Johnson
Courtney Leigh Huckabay and Jeremiah Johnson were united in marriage on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 6 o’clock in the evening at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Nederland, Texas in a double ring ceremony with Pastor Timothy Dinger officiating.
The Bride is the daughter of Debra and Ted Beard and Glen and Jackie Huckabay, all of Bridge City. The Groom is the son of Marian and Patrick Small and Mike Johnson, all of Bridge City.
Performing a reading was Mrs. Alissa Williams, while Ms. Kristi Holt provided vocals for the ceremony and Ms. Kree Harrison provided first dance vocals at the reception. Attending the Bride as matron of honor was Chrissy LaComb. Bridesmaids were Alissa Williams, Misti Huckabay, Jessica Van Huis, Tara Hollier, Jeannine Van Houten, Dezra Wilkins, and Jessie Prestridge. Abigail MacCammond-Huckabay, niece of the bride, was junior bridesmaid, and Halle and Bella Huckabay, also nieces of the bride, were flower girls. Brac Parkhurst, nephew of the groom, was junior groomsmen, and Kai Parkhurst, also nephew of the groom, carried the rings. Jacob Johnson served as best man. Groomsmen were Cory Babin, Clint Huckabay, Jonathan Van Huis, Jarred LaComb, Josh Smalley, Hector Oceguera, and Joe Vann. Ushers were Jason Powell and Cole Aaron.
The Bride is a 1998 graduate of Bridge City High School and graduated from Lamar University. She holds a BBA in Finance and is employed by Associated Builders and Contractors of Southeast Texas. The Groom is a 1994 graduate of Bridge City High School and attended Lamar University. He is employed by Mike Johnson Homes in Bridge City.
Following their honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii, the couple will reside in Bridge City.
Wappler - Brent
Katrina Marie Wappler and David Aaron Brent were joined in holy matrimony on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 6:30 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Port Arthur, Texas officiated by Rev. T.R. Blanco, O.S.A. The bride’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Dennis and Velma Wappler of Groves and the groom’s parents are Mrs. Kathy Brent of Port Neches and Mr. Fred Brent of Houston. Grandparents of the bride are Maria A. Orta and Anita Wappler both of Port Arthur and the groom’s grandmother is Grace Brent of Nederland.
Attending the bride as Matron of Honor was her sister Karissa Authement and bridesmaids were Kristi Allen, Jessica Wilkin, Jane Vandevanter and Keegan Guidry with Alizabeth Buhler as junior bridesmaid. Jade Moore was the flower girl and Jonathan Buhler was the ringbearer. Stephen Gary served as best man and groomsmen were Jason Brent, Michael Brent, Bryan Brent, Chris Gary, Matt McKee, and Jordan Wappler with Gage Moore as junior groomsman. Ushers for the wedding were Teddy Authement, Mike McKee and David Foulk. Scripture readers were Teddy Authement and Mark McKee and greeters were Tatum, Tanner, and Taryn Crochet. Music was by Eric Mitchell on keyboard with Carl Brown providing the vocals. The wedding reception was held at the BRAD Club immediately following the ceremony. The bride is a 2001 graduate of PNG High School, graduated in 2005 from Drake University with a B.A. in Biochemistry, and is currently pursuing her MBA. Katrina is employed by Lamar University. David is a 1999 graduate of PN-G High School and is employed at The Home Depot as an assistant manager. Following their honeymoon trip, the couple will reside in Port Neches, Texas.
Roccaforte - Kolb
Marsha Roccaforte became the bride of Jay Kolb on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland, Texas in a double ring ceremony with Father Dan Malain officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Anthony and Marilyn Roccaforte of Nederland. The groom is the son of Beverley Paulus of Las Vegas and Donald Kolb of Mauriceville. Music was provided by Adrian Quintela and Jamie Melancon. Attending the bride as Matron of Honor was Kristie Aycock. Bridesmaids were Jenny Pomeroy, Laurie Martin, Brandy Tarver, Keri Collins, Traci Bieber and Kelsi Kolb. Kenzie Aycock was flower girl and Luke Broussard carried the rings. Scott Martin served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Chad Aycock, Justin Collins, Donald Kolb, Lonnie LeBlanc, Nolan DeShazo, Marcus Barton and Kody Kolb.
Following their honeymoon in the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Nederland.

Gauthier - Murphy
Mr. and Mrs. Marc Gauthier of Groves are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Brooke Lynn Gauthier to James Robert Murphy, son of Jill Murphy and the late Donald Murphy of Port Neches.
Brooke is a 2002 graduate of Port Neches - Groves High School and is currently attending Lamar University in Beaumont. She plans to graduate in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Retail and Merchandising. Brooke is employed by Little Wooden Shoes Daycare and Sears.
James Robert (Jim Bob) is a 2002 graduate of Port Neches - Groves High School. He is employed by Johnson Supply in Beaumont.
Their wedding is planned for October 28, 2006 at The Courtyard in Groves.
ANNIVERSARIES
Mr. and Mrs. William J. Windle
William and Alice Windle celebrated their 50th anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, with a dessert reception at the Texas Artists Museum in Port Arthur. The celebration was hosted by their children and grandchildren.
Alice Heathcote and William J. Windle were married on Aug. 11, 1956. The couple also celebrated their anniversary with renewal of their wedding vows by the Rev. Kenneth Creig.
Their children are: Ralph Windle, Bill Windle, Barbara Nichols, Daniel Windle and Beth Rea. William and Alice also have eight grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. James Nezat
James and Betty Nezat of Bridge City celebrated their 50th anniversary from 2 to 5 p.m. on Aug. 12, 2006, with a reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Bridge City. The celebration was hosted by their children.
Betty Landry and James Nezat were married on Aug. 14, 1956, in Port Arthur, Texas. Both attend Our Lady of Guadalupe catholic Church in Port Arthur.
Their children are: June Schulte of Lake Jackson, James D. Nezat Jr. of Denham Springs, La. and Tamela Adams of Orange. James and Betty also have eight grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wilson
Melvin and Elois Wilson of Groves celebrated their 60th anniversary on Aug. 12, 2006. Elois Little and Melvin Wilson were married on Aug. 12, 1946 in Port Arthur, Texas.
The couple has two daughters: Gail Cross of Groves, Vicki Loukas of Sulphur, La. Melvin and Elois also have three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wilfred
Mirley Trahan and Thomas Wilfred of Warren, formerly of Port Neches will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, with a reception at Dorothy’s Front Porch. The celebration was hosted by their nieces and nephews.
Mirley Thompson and Wilfred Trahan were married on Aug. 30, 1956, in Orange. Wilfred Trahan retired as an Area Engineer at the Texas Deptartment of Transportation.
Mirley Trahan retired from Sears Credit and Audit Department.
Their nephews and nieces have always been a large part of their lives, as well as their their many pets.
