— Jim and Nelda Brown of Port Arthur celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June, with a luau at Crystal Beach. The event was hosted by family members.
Nelda and Jim Brown were married on Aug. 2, 1957, at Central Gardens Baptist Church. Jim is a dentist and Nelda is a homemaker.
Jim and Nelda have three children: Lauri and Tory Ford of Beaumont, Mike Brown of Port Arthur and Sharon Eddingston of Port Neches. The couple also has seven grandchildren.
