Lloyd Levine passed peacefully from this life on June 12, 2016 after a gradual decline in health. Lloyd was born in Henry, Louisiana May 23, 1927 to Howard Levine, Jr. and Julia Harrison, but moved to Port Arthur in the late 1950’s. He was married to Ida Beatrice Maze on October 13, 1950. To this union three children were born. Lloyd was employed with Texas Stevedores as a Long Shoreman until he retired to become a Shrimper. He has been a long time member of Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughters, Doris L. Mason (Pt. Arthur, TX), Alfreda L. Williams (Houston, TX) and son, Lloyd P. Levine (Pt. Arthur, TX). Brothers, Lawrence Levine Sr., (San Marcus, TX) (Vonne), Alton Levine, Sr. (Mable) , Lennis Levine (Melba) both from, Dallas, TX, Six grandchildren, Cornelius Darby (Tina), Kristine Lyles -Missouri City, TX Dante Williams (Jacqueline) (Breaux Bridge, LA) Jermayne Williams ,Andre Williams (Julia) Houston, TX and William Mason (Denver, CO). Seven great grandchildren, Ashley, Devante, Mika, Joycelynn, Krishna, Andre Jr, Malani, Three Aunts, Ada Bessard, Lucille Williams (Norman) and Verdna Levine and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. with Funeral services at 11 a.m. at Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church, 549 West 11^th Street, Port Arthur, TX 77640. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
