NEDERLAND — Home Free is ready to bring their Timeless tour to Nederland and once again benefit the school.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Nederland Performing Arts Center, 2101 18th St., Nederland. Tickets may be purchased from their website or through ticketfly.com.

The five-member a cappella group, which includes Nederland native Tim Foust, gained fame when they won the fourth season of The Sing-Off on NBC in 2013.

The Home Free guys are well known for coming back to Foust’s hometown and high school where a portion of the ticket sales will go to the school choir program.

The group has also helped those affected by Hurricane Harvey and later Hurricane Irma where two of their members still have family.

Dena Foust, Tim’s mother, proudly told of how the group challenged their fans with a YouCaring campaign beginning with their $20,000 donation.

“In less than 12 hours the fans matched that amount plus more so they upped the amount to $100,000 and raised over $101,000,” Dena Foust said. “All of the money went to the southeast Texas area.”

Some of the organizations that benefitted from the donations include: Orangefield School District, whiteboards and teacher supplies; Taft Elementary, school T-shirts for staff and students; Mauriceville Middle School Band, gift certificate for band instruments; Orangefield Jr. High Choir, gift certificate for choir music and supplies; Hamshire-Fannett High School Senior Choir, gift certificate for choir music; Vidor High School Choir, T-shirts; Vidor High School Soccer, donation for equipment; Gulf Coast Youth Soccer, for families that lost uniforms; Southeast Texas Food Bank; Humane Society; Pups in Peril; BFF Pet Adoption; Sweet Pups; Private Christian School; Thomas Boulevard Church of Christ in Port Arthur, donation for individual families and building damage; individual families in Nederland, Port Neches, Orangefield and Port Arthur to Walmart and Lowes, restaurant gift cards and a meal for the Nederland police and fire departments.
