Christopher Edwards, 57, of Murphy, TX passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018, surrounded by his family.  A native of Port Arthur, TX, Christopher was a 1979 graduate of Lincoln High School.  He was a United States Army veteran and worked for Andrews & Kirk Law Firm for many years.

He is preceded in death by his father, Hence Brown, Sr.; his brother, Hence Brown, Jr. and his sister Lois Auzenne.  He leaves to mourn his passing, a lifetime friend, Wendell Robinson; mother, Katherine Brown; brother, Hendry Johnson (Debora), Morgan City, LA; four sisters, Lula Gholson (Edward), Atlanta, GA, Quansoniella Allen (Clarence) and Karen Frelow (Marvin) of Port Arthur, TX and Valerie Anderson (Thomas) of Dallas, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at First Christian Faith Baptist Church, 1003 Dallas Avenue, Port Arthur, TX.  The family will receive friends at 10 a.m.  Entombment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
