Annie Huebel

Annie Huebel, 95, of Port Arthur passed away on May 17,  2017 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Groves. She was born in Columbus, Mississippi on May 10, 1922 and moved to Texas in 1937.

She received her L.V.N. at Park Place Hospital and worked at St. Marys Hospital in O. B. department for 16 years. Annie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Port Acres for many years.

Survivors include one sister, Ruth Blair of Port Arthur, brother, Ike Pate of Blackwell, TX., two daughters, Barbara Allison of Port Arthur, Billie McNiel and husband, Don of Raymore, MO., two sons, Carl Burris and wife, Janis of Livingston, TX., Ronnie Koziuk and wife, Trisha of Beaumont, 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Annie is preceded in death by her father, Marvin Pate, mother, Lena Pate, brothers, James Pate, Floyd Pate, sister, Velma Morris and son,Clifford Ray Burris, Jr..

Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors in Groves. Service to honor Annie’s life will celebrated at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff  Bell, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
